Forgot Netbanking Password (HDFC Bank)?

If you struggle with remembering passwords , accessing internet banking/mobile banking can be quite a task.

You may consider saving cust ID and password details on a doc in your smartphone or in your gmail drafts.

Luckily, HDFC Bank has a user friendly netbanking interface that lets you reset /regenerate your internet banking pin(password) any time:

What if I don’t remember my CustID?

No worries, just enter your mobile number with country code followed by date of birth/PAN card details , enter security code and click submit to get your cust ID


Now that you’ve recovered your Cust ID details, you can set up/regenerate your netbanking password (IPIN) by clicking on below link:


  • For Resident customers , confirm mobile number to receive OTP on mobile phone.

Once OTP is received on mobile phone, enter OTP and click on submit.

>>       You will be directed to select the debit card .

>>      You need to enter the ATM PIN of the card selected by you and expiry date.

>>   Now create a password (pin) of your choice and confirm.

>>    You are good to go !

>(IPIN (password) should be alphanumeric, with minimum 6 characters and maximum 15 characters)


  • For NRI Customers with Indian Mobile Number updated with the Bank  :

       –   Select your Debit Card and enter your Card details to set up netbanking password.


  • For NRI Customers with International Mobile Number updated with the Bank :

–   Enter both the OTPs sent on the Email ID and international mobile number.

Enter both OTPs to create a new password (IPIN)
